This journal will be a bit harsh.
All of you who think the world will "end" on 12/21/12 are probably very wrong.
22% of Americans think the world will end sometime in their life, which is pretty sad.
There are a number of reasons why the world is not gonna end.
The Mayan Long-Count calander ending does not mean the end of the world; it just resets. And the Mayans even believed that the end of the cycle meant celebration, just like New Year's.
The Apocalypse has been "predicted" 269 times in the last 500 years, and nothing has happened.
Isn't it a bit coincidental how this was scheduled RIGHT BEFORE Christmas Break?
The date sounds like it was scheduled by a four-year-old. 21 is basically the 1 and 2 in the 12(December) and 12 in 2012 switched around.
Scientists would have seen something by now, which they haven't.
The movie was scientifically flawed.
The world is supposed to end from the alignment with the sun and the Milky Way's equator, which NASA says makes no astrological sense at all.
Why is it the Earth that has to end? Why not Uranus or Jupiter?
Probably the only possible way the Earth will end is by asteroid, our sun dying out (in 6 billion (6,000,000,000) years, btw), etc.
I think the only way this would come "true" is because of all the murderers going around causing mass hysteria. I blame public media and bad parenting for making all of this happen. I live in America, and I can tell you first-hand that people here are indeed idiots.
How you can believe something as ridiculous as this, I don't know.
This prediction is stupid and you're stupid if you believe it.
Repost this journal if you want to. And read/repost TheLupineReturns's journal about the mass hystera part: thelupinereturns.deviantart.co…
